Final Day
Today was the final day of shooting for my media project. I was really happy with how well today played out, I think the fact that we shot on Halloween kind of loosened everyone up a bit and it helped me capture the true essence of Halloween. It was important for me to make not just today but the whole project feel like it was Halloween as that is when the story takes place, this is emphasised through the use of costumes, decorations and footage and sounds of trick or treater’s passing by. I also had not problems filming on location other than passing cars but compared to the previous day I had a little of interruption from youths.
I think looking back on filming over the three days that today has been the best day for filming. Just for the pure fact that today is Halloween, as they say in Super 8 'Production Value'. I also got some great shots that weren’t planned which is an added bonus to the production. I was really pleased with how everyone acted today and they all seemed like they had fun doing the filming too. I have had such a blast filming this project and I now can't wait for the next stage which is edited and polishing the footage to eventually have a fantastic final product.

Production Diary
Production: 29/10/11
Today I started my second leg of shooting for my media project. For the first time shooting this project I had problems shooting whilst on location. I and my cast had problems with a group of young youths that were deliberately trying to ruin the filming but we managed to pull through and I managed to get the shot I wanted. I also today filmed inside a car, an experience that I have never done before. It was important for me to try new things when filming this project so filming on locations outside of school, filming inside a car and also filming at night were all things that I wanted to include in this project.
Below are again production photographs from filming today.

Production Diary
Production start date: 27/10/11
Toady I started production on my media film project currently titled, 'It's Just a Movie!’ I must admit I was really nervous about filming today as I was scared that the scenes wouldn’t look like how I imagined them in my head. Also I was working with actor's that I had never worked with before, not that I didn’t think they would do a good job they did and I am extremely pleased as they put so much effort in and gave it everything they had. Most importantly they had fun doing the shooting.
I really wanted to capture the essence of Halloween as that is when the film is set so I spent the day carving out pumpkins and decorating my front porch with Halloween decorations. In the pictures below you can’t see some of the decorations, such as the lights and the ghost but I am going to take some pictures with the porch at night when I shoot again.
Overall I am happy with how today's shooting went, the cast was really fun to work with and a had such a laugh working with them. The costume's looked good and the acting was really good as well. I now feel that I have got off to a huge start and all my previous doubts have disappeared and now I am fully confident that this project will great now that everything is coming together.

Recreation Theme in Costume's
As this film is recreating scene’s and deaths from various horror films I also wanted to have this theme present in some of the costume’s worn by the character’s as the killer’s costume’s are pretty obvious as to what film they belong too. As the character above is the central character I thought having her Halloween costume to be the same one Laurie Strode wears in Halloween 2 would be quite clever in terms of the recreation theme. The costume is in fact a Rocky Horror costume so I will be paying homage to that film as well as the aspect of the two characters in the same position both in the film and in the costumes.
